Welcome to Olde Blue Bell Cottages, in the Lake District

Located at the centre of the quiet village of Heversham in the picturesque South Lakes, an 18th century coaching inn has been converted to 3 character cottages. The Cottage and Coach House both sleep 6 and The Barn sleeps 4.

Newly decorated with luxury furnishings, the original oak beams and stone walls have been preserved to give the cottages true character. Fitted with modern facilities throughout, and stocked with all the basic essentials for both kitchen and bathroom we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A traditional village pub is just a 5 minute walk, with a roaring log fire in winter, lunch and evening menus. It is also dog friendly and serves the cheapest pint in the Lake District! Surrounded by farmland, the area is excellent for low level walks or cycling. Walk up Heversham Head for beautiful views and stunning sunsets over the Lakeland fells and estuary.

The village of Milnthorpe is a mile away, with a Booths supermarket, family butchers, health food shop, newsagent, banks, post office and a whole host of other useful shops. The location is perfect for exploring the spectacular Lakeland scenery, as well as providing easy access to the Yorkshire Dales. An ideal base for a whole host of outdoor activities or just chilling out!

The cottages are open all year round, with short breaks available mainly in the low season. We welcome families and there is a village play park next to the cottages.

Dog Friendly Cottages & Accommodation for Large Groups

Both Olde Blue Bell Cottage and Olde Blue Bell Barn offer dog-friendly holiday accommodation with enclosed gardens and local walks. (The Coach House does not take dogs). We are also ideal for large groups as the cottages are all within 20 meters of each other, equipped with extra crockery and seating, each with their own private gardens, so you can be all together but with a little of your own personal space!
